MEETING NOTES *UNOFFICIAL* NOTES of Board Meeting (I am working on making my notes real minutes ~ WHOO HOOO :-)

1.      Call to Order - 7:01pm

2.      Establish Quorum - ALL Present

3.      Read and approve notes from 04/20/2009 Tony asked if everyone had a chance to read them on the website - yes ... feedback? No. Bill motioned to accept Bob S 2nd - they are official minutes :-( 

4.      Financial Report (95% under budget for the (what period?) ... WHOOO HOOO {sorry} ... is this because of landscaping equalizing?) The lawn billing issue from 04/20/09 - yes, it has/is being corrected for a $5,200 current surplus for the quarter

4.1.   Delinquencies  - Current - Old Status: with current delinquencies we will have a budget shortfall of 10k (COULD mean a special assessment)

4.1.1.           Three are carried over have from last year, 15 NEW have been added to the number now entered into the legal system (NEW 15 DELIQUENCIES PAY BY THE END OF MAY TO SAVE MORE CHARGES!!! They add up FAST)

4.1.2.           TOTAL Delinquent 18 ... We have a TOTAL of 159 homes (that's almost 11.5% of our community )-:  

4.1.2.1.            $557.00 ANNUAL Dues to live here?  Too much?  Is your home for sale?  It seems like our longest standing delinquent home owner DUETSCH BANK must have sold their *asset* as the home is now current :-)  YAY!!!  WELCOME New Neighbors All  :-)

5.      Violation Status – cars parked on the street overnight is still an issue – STOP PARKING on the road overnight.  Thank You :-) During the day – parking on the road – use a brain cell and realize people have to be able to DRIVE on the road.

5.1.   Tony said the Jag plates are current (Maryland) The car has not MOVED in years.  A home for sale has this car in the pic ... hmmm ... is THAT why the home sits empty and forlorn :-( just thinking out loud.

5.2.   The flattened tire(s) are ok?  ~inoperative~

5.3.   The side molding hanging off of the driver's door? ~inoperative~

5.4.   The cobwebs between the garage and trunk of the car ~inoperative~

5.4.1.           It hasn't MOVED in years.  Da-duh-Da-duh-da-duh .... ~Evie wants to see it move ... as board members can't we say we need proof it is ~operative~

5.4.1.1.          Can I hotwire (or is that Expedia) it to see if starts? {I'm kidding!!  CHEESE & rice}

6.      Old Business

6.1.   Playground ... groan ... the area that will never {never, never, never, never, never ... oops ... sorry again ;-} go away ... {Playground story to Evie ~ sounds like a blog :-}

6.1.1.           Playground Inspection - NOTHING from the company.  Tony says Insurance company says Riverwatch is covered and will be named if anyone were to get hurt (see 3.2.1 of 04/20/09) regardless WHO put the equipment together.

6.1.2.           The playground area is becoming a magnet for kids young and old(er ... I will never grow up :-)  When will it be finished?  (meaning roof see 6.3 of 04/20/09, But ALSO the benches (picnic & sitting see 7.1 below) the metal is (has) rusted through the plastic *protective* coating and is dangerous.

6.1.2.1.          Nick brought up possibly contacting local general contractors who could build a roof suitable for our area AND address the picnic tables and sitting benchs since we have the current surplus ... YAY!!!  I LOVE ~win~win~win~win~+1's :-)

6.1.3.           OOOOOOPPPPS ~ Wait a minute ... it was brought up by a *contact of a member of the board of directors that MISAPPROPRIATION of funds for the playground has been batted about by several(?) neighbors ... liable ... liability ... reliable ... libel ... wait ... ah, that's it ... slander ... that was the word I was looking for.

6.1.3.1.          Evie add for Tony to discuss with lawyer.  I am a peace loving nut, but sometimes ya have to stand, even when asked to sit down. It's time to stand again, thank you :-) 

6.1.3.2.          The playground will BE put to BED! 

6.1.3.3.          If there is cause for neighbors to feel funds have been misappropriated then it needs to be done NOW.  Black Propaganda any one … ? whisper~whisper~whisper

6.1.4.           Request for Proposals (i.e. picnic benches, sitting benches, playground roof, can the gazebo roofs be painted? etc.) bring info to next meeting ... Evelyn motioned, Bill 2nd

6.1.4.1.            WHO will do this? 

6.1.4.1.1.                  Nick said he would contact local general contractors

6.1.4.1.2.                  Colleen will contact the playground company to see what they can do roof replacement wise :-)  WHOOO HOOO!!!

6.1.4.1.3.                  Evie can help with Request for Proposal stuff ... set up for win's all around let's let our bidders KNOW what we want and allow them to be able to WOW us :-)

6.2.   Dock – Tony has Gibson Marine coming out to bid going forth for reserve planning.  While out, they will see what needs to be done to mark the depth indicator at the launching pad.

7.      New Business

7.1.   Gazebo Benches (see 6.1.2 above)

7.2.   Website updates-features (WE HAVE A WEBSITE … The notes I write at our meetings are posted there (I mean here ;-)

7.2.1.      What would you like to have?  Not have?  If you leave it up to me (Evie :-) holy smokes … Forum? Interactive blog?  Would you be interested in a RiverWatch *Social Network* … LOL!!! How long has TarponRiverWatch.com been active?  OK ~ technology will

7.3.   Landscape items – Pepper tree removal at the dock area for $500 – Evelyn Motion Bob S 2nd … go for it.

8.      Maintenance / Manager Report

8.1.   Well pump - $3200. JUST for the pump.  Pump life span is ~approx. 9 years (ours lasted 14? Is that correct?)

8.1.1.1.            Full (current) replace cost is approximately $9k

8.1.2.           The pump has been hit by vehicles ... Nick will install steel poles ... watch out :-)

8.2.   Reserve Items - Dock, gazebos, playground, well, ponds, (ya know common areas ;-)

8.3.   Mayor's Visit – no other follow up

9.      Architectural Report - nothing

9.1.   Evie asked about us (Pete & I) replacing a fence between us and a neighbor - but the neighbor is on the Arch. Committee ... what do we do ... Tony says submit this form ... Evie needs to upload the form and put link here – and off of the main page :-)

10.  Open questions from the floor – didn’t catch anything other than some yayHOO (Peter ;-) asking about the playground.
