March 2011 Board Meeting Minutes 



Date: Monday March 21, 2011

Time: 7pm

Place: Tarpon Springs Recreation Center 400 South Walton Ave. Tarpon Springs FL 34689

Room: Social Room



1.      Call to Order – 7:05 pm 

2.      Establish Quorum – All present 

3.      Read or waive and approve meeting notes from Jan 2011 (since Feb 2011 is our annual and will be “official” Feb 2012 ~ please read them)  Bill Motion, Frank 2nd notes are minutes. 

4.      Financial report  

4.1.   Delinquencies – 22 total delinquent’s – four are into multiple years – going forward with lien’s  

4.2.   Budget – we are on budget but will run into issues if the delinquencies continue. 

5.      Website – Still have 20 ish average visitors a day 

6.      Violation Status  

7.      Old Business 

7.1.   Jacaranda tree at playground pond $450 for a 12 to 14 foot Evelyn Motion Frank second passed 

7.2.   Banner for special events – dark blue background gold letters (hasn’t yet been ordered) 

7.2.1.      Spring Clean Community Garage Sale April 9th (the 10th Tarpon Springs Waste Management will come through the neighborhood) 

7.3.   Kids playing in retention area – if they get hurt the injuries COULD fall to the homeowner.  Children should be discouraged from playing in the retention areas if they are not the owners of the property. 

7.4.   Lien Subordination – to be sent out we will give 30 days for the return of the proxies and then we will begin a door to door endeavor to get EVERYONE to vote on this very important issue. 

7.5.   Sidewalk repairs – Completed  

7.6.   Storm drain issues – several culverts need to be addressed still 

7.7.   Getting organized – in process 

8.      New Business 

8.1.   Mailbox posts – many of the mail box posts in the neighborhood are looking quite bad and need to be addressed.  Should we just DO this OR will neighbors address their mail boxes.  Clean, Paint, Numbers, Flag, Etc. 

9.      Maintenance Report 

9.1.   Landscape Report - nothing 

9.2.   Ponds – awaiting report (?) 

9.2.1.      Culverts & Drains – see 7.6 yes the drains drain the way they are, BUT they are meant for the BIG storms and need to be able to drain when there is a HUGE amount of water coming in quickly. 

9.3.   Managers Report – Aluminum gate is the ideal to replace the dock gate … get specs on heavy duty full replacement.  Also the posts along the entrance.  Also just for beautifying. 

10.  Architectural Report  - none 

11.  Board of Director Comments - none
